Weekly update threads

For those "old timers" around here, there may be memories of a time when we had weekly threads where our community members would post about what was going on in their lives that week.  People would talk about what doctor appointments/tests they had scheduled, major family/life events going on, etc.  For those who haven't been around that long (or those of us "old timers" who need memory refreshers), here's a couple of examples:

I remember someone initiating telling what was going on with our week...

(just looked and found one started by tonyad- I remembered the beep beep and the word bus):

and I think this type of thread was a good way to share if people want to get to know each other better.
