personal question

i wanted to ask if sexual problems can be related to POTS. i am finding that i cant tolerate intercourse at the moment as it seems to exacerbate my symproms. my heart races and i get palpatations. for  a good while after. i am the stage where i really dont want a relationship because i dot seem to have the energy now as im so tired then when i do want to i finding i physically cant manage and i have zero sexdrive to begin with. . could this be the POTS or is it just psychological. i love my partner and i dont have any prolems in our relationship . and im not stressed about anything other than the condition that i am really struggling with. im so fed up and i gather my partner is to . he just dosent seem to understand that it not that i dont love him it just i cant seem to have intercourse without feeling really bad. it like what i get like after a gym session  the heart feelings are the same. anyone had simmilar experiance any advice.  do you think it relevant to discuss this issue with the cardiologist or are they going to say i crazy.

Between dizziness, fatigue, and the medications used to treat them, the answer is yes.  You can discuss it with your doctor if you want, but I think it would be more important to be opened about it with your husband.

I don't have POTS, my daughter does, so i don't have personal experience, but I would think that POTS can cause sexual problems.  It effects everything else.  You may also be suffering from depression related to your illness and that effects sex drive.  If you are on antidepressants,  some  will cause sexual dysfunction.  I would definitely talk to the cardiologist about it.  He may not know anything, but maybe he can refer you.  It sounds like maybe you guys could use some couples therapy.  Your illness is a huge strain on your partner also. It sounds like you need to communicate a little better and that's what counseling is for.  Good luck.  rbird
