Rather than re-post all of these links, I'm just going to link you to this other thread where this was discussed:

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Neurology/I-sweat-only-on-one-side/show/1008985

Many doctors may not be familiar with the rare autonomic condition(s) that can cause this.  Unfortunately, there is no hospital in your state with an autonomic clinic.  The closest one to you is in Tennessee, at Vanderbilt:

http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Neurological-Disorders/Dysautonomia-Specialists/show/717?cid=196

However, with any luck you can find a neurologist at a major teaching hospital near you who is knowledgeable in autonomic disorders and able to diagnose you and confirm that your condition is benign.  Not actually knowing the hospitals in your area, but guessing from national rankings available online and comparing the city listed on your MedHelp profile to google maps, I'd guess this is the most likely hospital to have a specialist in your area who can help you:

http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/emory-university-hospital-6380570

With all those caveats, obviously you know your area better than I can from Ohio, so I may be off the mark there.  But for what it's worth, that's what I found.

Hopefully you can find a doc and get a diagnosis soon,
-Heiferly.

Barbara,

We look forward to hearing updates from you and hope that you have good news for us once you get a diagnosis!  Let us know if you have additional questions, especially if there's anything in those journal articles you want clarification on--I know slogging through medical journal articles isn't always the most enjoyable reading--hehehe.

Best,
Heiferly.

It doesn't seem to be too bad.  He just doesn't like any heat on his stomach, including sunlight.  Look at my profile and you can see his picture after having the sweat test done.  Where he didn't sweat stayed orange.  He should have been all purple.

My son had the thermoregulartory sweat test done in January.  He doesn't sweat on his mid section of torso or on his upper left arm.  They diagnosed him with small fiber neuropathy in those areas.
