URGENT: Tramatic Back Injury

My roommate is an NC State cheerleader. She fell while trying to flip and landed on her lower back in sort of a v position. This happened a few monthes ago. She seems to be getting in worse pain. She said the pain is in low back, slightly to the right of her spine. She can't stand straight...she leans to the right. Physical activity causes her severe pain. She at one time complained about neck stiffness. She even stubbed her toe and said that caused pain in her back. She hasn't had noticible bruising or swelling. It hurts to the touch. I thought the symptoms seemed to match to symptoms of a fractured lower back vertabra, but she is still able to move it just hurts and she seems stiffer. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what this may be? I have had a lot of trouble convencing her to go to the doctor.

yes, get the mri, my doc told me for months that I had fibromyalgia, I think they are saying that to pass us off and they are not following through. I ended up with a slipped disk in my spine and a fusion surgery only 2 months ago, keep bugging them till they do something.

she might have injured some discs in her back...but will need an MRI to show it....as regular x-rays will NOT show disc/nerve problems. she really needs to get it checked out.
