After Colloid Cyst removal Post Op

Want to know what to expect Post-Op Doctor says Possible Stroke But nothing else.

I heard amnesia,Mutism,Mild Headaches But nothing more.

Last Week Dr Says visible growth since november so I am going to Surgery in about 2 weeks.

Anything You Can tell Me would help Me and the Wife be better prepared.

Just trying to learn all possible post-op problems so I am ready.

I would also like to say Dr Michael Stoffman Of Brain and Spine center Williamsville , NY is a very Skilled Surgeon I would recomend him to the whole world

good news december 10th surgery went well The Doctor got the whole cyst out lab said no cancer

Some of the side effects are standard, so to speak, with anesthesia and with any surgery.
Some of them may have to do with the location of the cyst or lesion.

You can contact the anesthesiologist to speak about those side effects as well your doctor should make full disclosure. Speak to someone - his nurse, PA or his surgical set up person to get more information. You have every right to prepare yourself.

If your surgeon is experienced, the worst can be avoided most times.  They have to list the worst case scenarios for full disclosure. In a way, I wish they would be a bit more practical and instead or also do things like prepare that you cannot bend over for x weeks and put things you need above waist level and bring lip balm to the hospital. Those were the things I needed to know more.
