Hi there, im a 26 yearoild male,i have smoke for a good 7 years, now over the passed week / 2 weeks  i went to the doctors with really bad pains in my head, and she said it was stress., now i tooksomepain killers and carryed on my daily work, then when i was sat at my desk i had a sudden pins and needles in my head that shot down my face making it numb, so i panicked and went to a and e and they said everything was fine... now i have this constant numb/ pressure pain in thetop left side of my head...sometimes it feels like its pulsating, or something is under the ski, or something is stuck like i just been hit with a bat or something... i have never suffered from headaches before.

when i wake up the pain is not there but after 10 to 20 min it will be back again... i have taken parecetamol and iburifen but only lasts a shot while.... i really need someone to tell me everything is ok as me and my wife is due a baby this week. and the last thing i want is for me to pop my clogs as they say...

the nhs is crap in england... and i cant afford private... so for me to get a head scan will take a while i think...

thank you for reading..

I tend to agree - if they persist after you have the baby, then get more aggressive with the docs, but then again, you will have no sleep!

I am not a doctor but I think you answered your own question. It is stress. You are due to be a dad anytime soon and this is a huge change in your life. But once you hold your baby your fears will disappear I've got two sweethearts so I know the stress of having a baby. Just take time out and when the head starts to hurt find a quite spot and do some deep breathing and let the negativity go when you exhale. I think you will survive and not pop a clog. Good luck and congratulations on becoming a dad.
