I had sweating issues with elevated cortisol - Lucy you were lucky you did not! I used to be only hot - like a blast furnace. I slept and sweat too. I sat and left a puddle (horrible!). No light colors. I went through a winter in NYC with a nylon shell, no fleece or lining, no hat and was fine. Hormones kept me warm.

I only run two temps - HOT or COLD now. Always opposite of my husband so sleeping and the temperature in the bedroom is a battle and blankets go everywhere.

So have you seen an endo - and did you get copies?

I never had problems with sweats til i had my pituitary operation.

I feel the cold like you wouldnt believe. Always freezing, have the fire roaring all winter spring autumn. Sleep with the electric blanket on !!! And still feel so cold i feel my bones ache !!!! Yes that bad.

Supposidly went thru menopause some time ago...never had a single sweat, not one hot flush...menstruation just stopped one day never to be seen again.

Then i had my pituitary surgery.
My Blood sugars dropped pretty drastically immediately after the surgery. I started having Hypoglycaemic episodes each night between 1am and 6am. I had massive sweats then, but at least we had a reason for them. While i was still in hospital, the medical team sorted out my sugars and the hypos stopped.

After discharge, probably about 1 week after i got home i started waking up in an absolute drenching sweat. Checked my sugars and they were perfectly normal. Then i started having hot drenching sweats in the day. I would go so weak too ! I told the endo about it and they just said meh i dont know ! lol

Well if you dont know i certainly dont !!!

Anyway these sweats went on for about 6 weeks

It was around the time they stopped that my cortisol started to rise again. Coincidence??? i dont know !

I havnt had a sweat since....and my cortisol has remained high since.

So..... My conclusion !!!

Sweats due to some sort of Hormone issue !!! Menopause??? i doubt it, high cortisol, most likely !!!

Its like anyone cab stand next to me and get warm. Winters no heater on for unless last winter lived in Oregon snowed in and 4 degrees we went up to 13 degrees so turned heater on to 50 degrees few minutes only. Help any ideas
