I would still ask, in fact all the more if it is near the chest wall. If they are concerned then they can also run other tests and or do incisional or lumpectomy.
Good luck. Ask all the questions you have of your surgeonn until you are satisfied.
It could be that the one cluster that you noted was close to the chest wall wouldn't be as easily biopsied by needle as the other two. This might be the reason for only doing the two initially. Regards ....
Mine was the same way only I only had one cluster. The clusters are what raises the red flag. When they do the biopsy I'd ask them why they aren't doing that other cluster.
Mine in pathology were called atypical hyperplasia.which means alot of abnormal cells, but not yet cancer........so its best to get them checked out. I would insist on that.
There are multiple clusters. If they are not early malignancy, what are they?
I think from what I have read, doing research for myself, that its a cluster that is suspect, are you sure the other calcifications were clusters or were they single? If indeed they are clusters I would think you are correct and they should all be biopsied. I went thru that and am now moving on to the lumpectomy phase of this program. Good luck.
