Breast MRI

I really need peace of mind here. I went for my annual mammo the first of Febuary, the results showed an area of concern in my right breast. I went back for the second mammo in my right breast with the same results. Now the radiologist has recommended an MRI. Is this a normal procedure? Most women I've know have biopsies not MRI's. Should I be concerned or is my anxiety probably all for nothing?

Oh, I agree, I would rather have the MRI but I'm just wondering why they are skipping that process when the biopsy seems to be normal procedure. My mind is telling me there's something more so I really just need peace of mind.

I would much rather have a breast mri instead of a biopsy anyday. If there is still concern after the MRI then I am sure that they will do a biopsy, but why go under the knife if you don't need to.  Regards
