microcalcifications in clusters

I have been ordered to have a sterotactile biopsy, due to two sets of clusters that are new on my left breast.  I am scared to death!  My mother has had radical mastectomies and lymph nodes removed when she was my age (48) I only ever had to go back for a mamogram more than once until this time.  I also am having a lot of burning in my left breast, is this to be associated with this condition or is it something else?  I have this horrible feeling that I have breast cancer.  Has anyone else ever felt that way when they recieved their results.  I will meet the surgeon who is doing my biopsy on Monday.  I truly hope he does this quickly, as I'm frustrated, worried sick, and so is my husband.

I had nightmares that I needed health insurance because I had breast cancer. This was 5 years before I found out I had breast cancer. Since it takes that long to turn cancerous I'd say someone "above" was trying to tell me something. I was lucky that when I found out that I did have cancer that I had health insurance, in fact, that's why I accepted a job was for the benefits 3 years prior.

Did your Mother have a BRCA test done? She may want to since she's had cancer. If she finds out she's positive you can then have the test done at a much reduced rate as you'd know what mutation they'd need to look for.

I'd like to suggest that you try not to worry but I know that's impossible to do. I hope you find out that it's nothing to worry about. Please let us know what you find, ok?
