I had a BIRADs 4 from a breast US that was a follow up to an abnormal mammogram. No lesions in the breast, but suspicious lymph nodes in axilla and behind right breast. I had a biopsy of an axillary node, and it was negative.. The us tech showed me the lymph node they were biopsying, and said it had a fatty hilam... The lymph nodes on US had a lack of fatty hilam. and thickened cortex... How can I be sure they biopsied the correct lymph node? and would the biopsy pick up other cancers, like lymphoma etc?
