I had an excisional biopsy with wire localization and was doing regular activity the next day (although my dancing experience is quite limited!)  Wearing a good support bra is really helpful and I would recommend getting one prior to the surgery so you can wear it home.  I wore mine 24/7 for the first three days and I think it contributed to the fact that I did not experience any significant problems post excision.
The pathology report as mentioned above is usually available within the week postop and definitely by the time you have your first postop visit with the surgeon.
Hoping you have a similar experience and may you have only benign results!

I had an excisional (surgical) biopsy and the recovery was easy.   I think I was doing the usual stuff the next day.  I agree with bluesky, though, lifting will probalbly be limited a bit.  Now if there was wire localization, I hear that is a little tougher.  I had a second biopsy which was not surgical, it was MRI guided biopsy and they left a clip and that was actually worse than the surgical excisional biopsy.  You should be fine for the weekend.  The pathology USUALLY takes no more than a week.

Best Wishes

Is it a surgical biopsy with wire localization?

For me, it was a quick recovery, the next day, I was up to did normal activities, the only thing Dr don't like you to do is the first day after biopsy, do not lift 10 lb or more. I knew some other ladies also recovery soon after the procedure.  But again, this is very personal. Please check with your Dr or Surgeon,

Good luck.
