wrist pain

Numbness and wrist pain after chemo. Finished chemo in March , 2011, but severe pain  in the wrists ! Doc prescibed ibux, -no help. I tried aspirin +C +paracet -lit better .But it is killing. Is there any help?

I will see an ortop. in April- I have to wait here. But what I did and NOW I am feeling much better! I drank diclac 150 -once a day -for 3 days and now I am aplying Voltaren Gel (=diclac) 3 times a day and I can knit and sleep !

Have you ruled out Carpal Tunnel?

As time passes, you may want to check into that if it doesn't get better :)

It might take longer than the 3 months off the drug to notice any difference. I have heard some women say that it took as long for the side effects to disappear as the length of time you were on the drug.

Thank you for the advice . Yes , I am using Femara . We thought so too. So I stopped it -- for 3 months . The same !

I would see either an Orpaedist or Pain Specialist as the cause could be something other than a post-chemo problem. You don't mention if you are on any other type of drug related to your post Cancer treatment; perhaps Tamoxifen or a similar preparation as this could be the cause. If this were the case you might either have to endure the pain, change the drug, or stop it completely.  Regards ....
