Update on Splash! :)

Hii Guys!

Splash was taken to the vets today, and well she is allowed out of her cage, BUT it has to be done gradually over the course of the week so she doesnt hurt herself and end up back in there for another 6 weeks... So how will I do this?
So today 1 hr walking around the lounge,
tomorrow 2 hrs around the lounge,
Wednesday 2 hrs Lounge 1 hr round house..
Thursday, 2 hrs house, 2 hrs Lounge
Friday, 3 hrs house, 2 hrs Lounge
Saturday, 4 hrs house, 2 hrs lounge?
Sunday, Out all day everywhere??

Does this sound alright?? I am rather scared incase she hurts herself?

Hi CJ....yes I think I would limit the number of kitties that have access to Splash, at least for the first several days. Better to be too cautious than not cautious enough.  Wouldn't want her to get hurt, or another to play too rough with her.

We call it the Living Room, the Family Room or the Den ;)

I spoke to the vets kinda... I was in a rush, but I am going back in tomorrow! Basically, today she has
30 mins, Rest for 40, 30 mins out rest for 40, 30 mins out rest till tomorrow.
Tomorrow an Hour out, rest
Wedesday 1 hr 30 rest 40 mins, 1 hr 30
Thursday 2 hrs
Friday 3 hrs
saturday 4 hrs
Sunday out! if that makes sense??

Today she came out for her first half hr, and well... she was going mad running jumping up everything (Just in the front room, when it was time to go back... she fell asleep, I GOT MY CUDDLES! YAY!

The Lounge is the front room ahahaa, where your TV and couch (sofa) go! LOL...

she is out for her second half hr now! But I am going to the vets again tomorrow to get more detail about the others coming in because I have 8 cats!!

I'm w/ ya on that!  I would also be nervous about her jumping around like a lunatic and getting herself hurt again/ having a setback.

Hmmmmm.....I wouldn't let her roam the house yet.  I'd keep her confined to a room...the lounge(please tell me what the H this is.  LOL) for a while.  Maybe I'd let one of her buddies w/ her.....IF she doesn't act like a crazy woman jumping all over the place.

That's the best plan I can think of!  Hopefully, some others will let you know what they think!

Yes, it does make a lot of sense to build her strength up again.  Being in the crate for so long, probably weakened her muscles.  They need to be built up again.....gradually.

Your plan sounds decent to me.  She'll do what her body lets her do.  If she's tired, her body will tell her and she'll rest.

She'll be fine.

Hahaha, she went at 9am! LOL... its now 2pm LOL...
The vets suggested coming out Gradually she cant come out straight away... this way builds up her strength if that makes sense??
But does my schedule sound good?? Because she does need to interact with the others...
?

Thanks

can't wrap my mind around the time diff yet....you said Splash has already been to the Vets this morning and your post was 2 hrs ago.....now its not even 7a.m here!!!
In the UK, you are at least 5 hrs ahead of us.
So glad she can finally get out of that crate....see she made it, 5 weeks seemed like such a long time, but it flew by(for us anyway)
You are such a good mommy..you've done a great job. sounds like your schedule should work, keep her away from the others for a bit longer until she gets her strength back and won't get hurt as Linda mentioned.
keep us posted♥
