OH Francoise I am sooooo sorry to read this morning that kitty has died, you tried so very hard to save her, you did everything humanly possible Francoise. I am so sad you lost her and also that she needed to be in such pain, perhaps it was just her time, when its our time no therapy or medicine in the world is going to be enough.
I am so sad for you just before Christmas to loose your vry good friend. I have you in my prayers dear....she knows what a good mommy you were and how much you loved her...........♥
The worst thing is that in France they use database for prescription, not pharmacy, and this product is in french database for all french vets, and sooner or later for all european vets. Really dangerous product that claims to be USA fluids.
So all french veterinarians think about using the same product.
Yes, I want the real fluid name to be able to spam the vets and tell them to get this poisonning thing out of the market !
You have got no idea of what I went through yesterday, her ears were inflated, and she was in panic because she couldn't walk when she awaked. It was awfull for both. I never wished for an animal to die suffering. All night she had pain because of fluids and because of microlax. Befor yesterday she couldn't sleep because of constipation, and because I gave her very few laxatone. I am very unhappy.
I really want to know what this fluids are because I'm sure in France, USA sold something that is not suitable for cats. And it is dangerous for all other cats. Vet told me it was USA fluids, for USA fluid therapy. If you all believe in fluids, then this is wrong product: No bags in it, just a seringue that would be good for a cow, more than 50ml and very long, longer then 5cm. Not even a dentist uses this thing !!!
Hi Francoise,
I'm not sure the name of the fluids, but Zodiac or Opus may know. I remember when my kitty had intestinal lymphoma/cancer, I learned how to give him fluids. It didn't come easy for me, as he resisted at times. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge two years ago. Are you okay?
I'm not sure that vets in France are using (or do know) the good USA product. The homeopath did neither tell about fluid bag. It might be a commercial problem.
Like for my tea without caffein and with no therapy effect, and my babie milk for pets that Douane thinks might be under prescription (they can't read english in France, must be this the problem). I hope I'll be repaid by vitamin life, because it's their fault if they didn't wrote it ain't vitamins.
Language and product choice, might be wrong in vet products from USA.
And you know how commercials are to sell wrong products !!!
@Maddie6: thanks. @opus88: Minou. @zodiacqueen: vet didn't have a fluid BAG, quantity in 2 huge fast injections from bottle frightened me. What is precisely the product NAME you use in USA? Here it is chloride sodium.
And for other people: not sure ARASNEP EPO is good for CRF cats, it contains too much phosphorus. Here EPO price is twice vet price, ARASNEP is one of the lowest cost.
