Cat eating catnip
My 16 yrs old cat eats catnip then rolls around in it.. Is it bad for them to eat catnip? Idk why she's eats it
My two sisters, one like to eat, the other prefers roll over...
This is kind of incompatible for them if I'm giving the fresh stuff - Joy eats the thing previously to Lucky roll over, so I put hers inside a toy :-)
Loreena just eat 2 or 3 leaves - IF I give her, she never attacks the pot
No problem in eating that, in fact you could do the same, they say the catnip ( fresh one) tea is good for health...Just dont cause you any effect...

All of our kitties (Queen Victoria, Calamity Jane, April Dancer, Cerridwen, Kestrel and Chesapeake of fond memory, plus Hildiekatt and Teia) have rolled around in catnip and ingested it, to no ill effect.
LOL This is totally normal and the catnip is not bad for cats at all. I've had lots of cats flip around and eat catnip!! I usually throw a toy for them when they roll around. It is so funny to watch them!!
