Ear Hematoma

My cat had a serious hematoma on his ear. I took him to the vet and they drained it and stitched it. I took him back 2 days later because the swelling came back and covered the stitches and they had to repeat the procedure. Now his ear is not swollen over the stitches again, but swollen and I cannot see down into his ear. Is this something I should be worried about? I do not have the money to continue bringing him back to the Vet if there is nothing they can really do.

It sounds like your going to have the hematoma dealt with surgically. In cases like this, it's best to have the hematoma excised. While more expensive than draining, it will take care of the problem once and for all.
