Cat with head trauma

My cat was attacked by a dog. Evidently she was shaken and is suffering from head trauma. One eye is more dilated than the other. This happened 4 days ago. She spent one day at the nearest vet, overnight at the animal er and 2 nights at my regular vet. I am syringe feeding her 2-3times daily. She cannot balance herself as of now. She flicks her tail, responds to my touch and I have been trying to stimulate her by putting my finger in between her toe pads. She does hold her head up occasionally and today she pooped! She ended up about 4 feet from her bed. But mostly she sleeps. My vet says this could take a couple of weeks for her to recover from. Is there anything else I can do for her?

I can only echo Jade's Post. Lots of love and care will hopefully return her to her old self. Stay in touch with your vet through this time.

I see you are a Rotti lover?? Hope your cat was not attacked by your own dog---Yikes!  If that is the case protect her from him at all costs. Never allow them to be alone without your supervision. If it was not your Rotti then have Your dog teach the guilty dog a lesson--Rotti's can pretty much shake a human so let him have at it with the nasty dog that did this to your babby kit.  ((((Kidding)))))

Rotti's are majestic creatures in the right hands.

Please keep us posted on your Kit. We worry too ,like Jade said.
Thanks,
CML

Hello and welcome, I'm so glad you found us. You are doing every single thing right.  My only other suggestion would be to find out if your vet gave your kitty "Manitol"...a med that will reduce brain swelling.  The fact she pooped is Great: as good sign!  Unless someone else has more suggestions, I would say you're doing as much for your girl as humanly possible.  And your vet is right, kitties Can and Do make full recoveries from traumas like this, so don't lose hope.

We care very much, so please keep us updated, okay?

Hugs...xo
