Advice about my newly spayed cat please!

My cat was spayed today, she is 2 yrs old. The vet says she has behaviour problems, but she is fine at home. She is very nervous around other cats and at the vets they had her in room with other cats, so no wonder she was noisey. Since i have had her home, she got her leg caught in her cone whe going for a wee and span round and round. She has been groggy and a wobbly. She has had a lick of her food and a lick of milk, didn't want water. She did a big wee on the sofa :( but i just popped some kitchen towel under and let her do it. My Q is: Should she still be so groggy and unhappy? (Operation at 2pm, its now 10pm) What can i do to help her feel better? Can i pick her up? Where should i leave her overnight, the front room neighbourhood cats come to the window and get her upset, the bedroom she could climb on the furniture, the hall or the bathroom, but i think those rooms might be a bit cold?  Sorry for all the Q's im a bit anxious, i just want her to feel better, feel so bad for her! Thanks for your help and time to read and answer.

My Vet uses gas as opposed to anesthetic, its alot safer....as soon as the gas (isofuratane) is off they wake up and its out of their system in just a few hours...no after affects that I've ever seen.
I agree about the cone, they are cruel and should be used only when absolutely necessary....they do make a 'soft cone' (made of quilted material) that prevents licking but still bends and allows the animal(cat or dog) to eat, drink and move around without hindrance,
best to your kitty, hope she is herself today!!  ♥

Unfortunately, some old school vets do not use reverser after surgery which means the anesthesia is in her system for a lot longer.  He may have also given her a sedative, which in my opinion, (and that of a lot of vet) is unnecessary, as is the cone.  She should be fine by morning and I would suggest removing the cone unless she is excessively licking at the incision without it.

Thank you both for your advice, she has perked up a little this evening. She had some water and some food, she is now resting on the sofa. I hope she doesnt try and climb on anything, but there is no way i can stop her, but she seems quiet happy just sitting and walking around a little. I will see how she is in the morning. Thanks again for taking the time to put my mind at ease.

Aligator gave you some good advice, but I would like to add that you should NOT let her do some major jumping around.  It might pull the stitches out and cause her to bleed.

I think she'll be fine by tomorrow-her appetite will probably be much better and she'll be more calm since she's in her own home AWAY from all those other cats.

Hang in there.  She'll be fine!

Poor little lady.  First off- yes, she will still be groggy and a little out of it.  She's probably in a bit of pain so she will be upset.  I don't know why they put a cone on her, I've never had one on any of my kitties- boy or girl.  So personally, I would take it off and just make sure she doesn't work to much on her stitches.  To let her stay overnight- I would make her a little bed of blankets or whatever she likes to sleep on in her favorite sleeping spot. She may be a little queasy from the meds so as long as she is drinking a little and maybe some food within 12 hours or so, I think she would be ok.   Hope she feels better.
