The medicine is freely sold and commonly used here in Brazil. In humanes, I mean. The comercial name is Novalgina
The side effect I knew about is that it causes blood pressure to low.
Vet said, yes it does.
I dont remember of using that myself,in fact except for some dermatological stuff, all the remedies here were bought for my kids...
As Nancy said its for pain and fever.
I questioned one of those 2 vets about comments I had heard and he said "the person is idiot"
But I1m glad she was not with fever so we could skip that...
About me and my eyes, one is never the same after a Retina detachment.Things get calmer after a long time without news but everytime some new thing happens you got scared of being having another.
At this moment I have some new floaters at the right eye( the good one, not detached yet.)
2 local ordinary oftalmos looked and the say theres nothing happening exactly now and I can wait til my appointment in SP in 28 April with my retina doctor
Point is Emergency service is in SP as well, and you simply cannot find a free transportation 24h available,in case you need
The second doctor is the one that saw me when thing happened so he's more worried about and asked a exam ( that you have to wait for to be set). Also said to avoid height lifting.
Metamizole sodium is used to treat pain and fevers. It is an analgesic, not an antibiotic. It has been banned for human use in most countries because it has a risk of lowering white blood cell count to dangerous and even fatal levels, particularly in children. So I would think there would be an even higher risk of that in cats.
hi apple...nice to see you posting. I've tried searching out Metamizole and didn't find much info, its not a med that is used in the US or Canada, must be only in Brazil?
I believe its an antibiotic. Try finding a Veterinary Drug site for Brazil and search out what it tells you.
Sorry I couldnt be of more help, what was Lolo given this drug for?
glad she had good results this trip, you certainly are a worrier...a good mama.
still having eye problems?
