Feline Leukemia Advice.

About a month ago I took my cat,  callie to the vet. Her stomach was swelled and a little lethargic. They did blood tests finding out she has feline leukemia and a severe protein defency, which was causing her stomach to be swelled with.fluid. I changed her deit to high protein. Her stomach doesnt seem to go down at all. I think shes leaking out fluid from the bend of her back leg, it stays wet. Im taking her to the vet in a day or so.

Im just wondering if anyone had and advice for anything to help callie with leukemia or a protein defiency. Ive been doing everything I can think of but doesnt seem like enough.

To answer your question....you really need a good vet....these kits need hydration at intervals...as well as other treatments that can only be done by a vet.

Hi there,
My sis adopted a kitten with feline leukemia...about 5 yrs ago.  He has given them a few scares...but is still enjoying life.  I know my sis has spent a lot of $ on this cat: he leaks, too.  Fluid accumulates in lungs ..maybe other areas...causing various problems.  He is on a special diet...digestive upsets are routine.

Even with all the problems my sis doesn't regret having her beautiful black companion..aptly called Honda as he attached himself to underside of their car while they were at church years back!
