My cat has been vomiting and making very painful sound before she vomits...

My cat (1.5 year-old Bengal) has been vomiting (once a day) sine 3 days ago, and she makes this painful noise before she vomits, and it sounds like she in a lot of pain.  I took her to the vet on Thursday and the vet ran blood test and found really nothing (except that he red cell count was higher than normal).  He said she's probably having a stomach problem and gave her medication for it.  I've been giving her the medicine since then, but she's been vomiting every morning and still making the painful sound.  She just did it twice already early this morning, and I'm starting to really worry about this painful noise she makes before vomiting.  My vet's closed now and I'm waiting till they open at 10AM, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to bring her in today and I'm wondering if anybody ever had a similar problem and know what might be going on...  Could this be some kind of intestinal infection?

Have you noticed if she gets sick after she eats?It might be a food allergy. My cat used to get sick really bad and it turned out to be the food he was eating. He has problems with grain "fillers",dyes and gluten.Good luck.

I took her to the vet today and had x-ray done just to be sure but there was no problem.  He gave her some medicine to stop vomiting and also recommended that I give her hair ball medicine. Hopefully she'll get better soon.  I never gave her Pro Gut, but I'll try that if she still have a problem and see if that helps.  Thank you for the information!

What are you giving her.  We gave our cat Pro Gut and that stuff works wonders!  Please let us know what the vet says when you get her in!  Good luck!
