Hi X,
Funny you should ask that question. My Meezy and I had a recheck with her Vet today after a bout with pancreatitis, so I was also looking for a NEW good diet.
Unfortunately the vet seems to think she may be working on Diabetis---I swear it never ends.
She has given me a wonderful list compiled by Dr. A Pierson,D VM. I think this is the list you will find on Opus' website.
Anyway I have decided on 3 brands -all having 2% carbs, and fairly high in Protien.
Avederm
Bff
Merrick
You can read the values on the site of Opus.
I chose these because CARBS cause plenty of problems for our kits.
My vet has told me DRY Cat food is OUT completely.
My cat was eating Weruva and I wondered why she was gulping it up---well it is one of the highest carb values, so somehow I have got to break her of her wet and dry food.
I am getting the band-aids ready for her retaliation, LOL!
Anyway this just came up today and this seemed very timely for your post.
Good Luck
CML
Dear, I'm one of the few, if not the only here feeding kibble to my cats and I can tell you that inexpensive and good are 2 words that seldom come along.
I give mines one decent price with good results but is useless to tell you the brand cause I'm Brazilian and its a Brazilian product...
All my cats drink a lot and one of those also eats that pouched meat by Whiskas ( I NEVER GIVE Whiskas kibble to my cats)
hi and welcome back, hope you do come join us and contribute all you can...we appreciate opinions, suggestions and feedback!!!! no one is always right, thats why many opinions are needed...:)
first of all. I am not a fan of any dry food for cats especially. cats never drink enough water to ever compensate for this dehydrated food therefore leading to health problems especially for their bladder and kidneys...I can send you a link to read more on that written by a feline nutritionist. she claims even the cheapest canned food is better than the most expensive dry!!!

if you are adamant on feed dry kibble than all I can say is PLEASE feed NO grain. for a back up food incase i need to be away for a night or two i keep use the brand ORIJEN. but there are others that are grain free. pretty much all dry foods are so high in carbs as well, this contributes to alot of weight gain therefore leading to diabetes, which has become very prominent in cats. read the site I linked above, it will really open your eyes..
good luck...
p.s. I will be on here this evening or this weekend and answering on posts here because I see some I wouldn't mind weighing in on with my opinions or suggestions. :) I may not be right but can give my experiences. :)
