Sick kitten help please

Hi, I have a kitten that is vomiting and has diarrhea. He is 9 weeks old and was healthy until a few days ago. He was admitted to the emergency room where thy kept him over night and gave him iv fluids. The next day they told me he was okay and better to go home and sucked 600$ out of me. When he got home, he threw up again. Obviously they did not make an effort to help the kitten at all. Now he's losing so much weight. I can see his bones and his vet just keeps saying "bring him in" and when I do, they can't figure out what's wrong with him. The only reason they can think of was my change in food. He went from dry to wet as well as a brand change. He is now on ad but I was wondering how I can help him gain weight again. Thank you

He's all better now. Healthy just like before.  He ate and didn't vomit when I didn't give him any medicine at all. I'm still not sure why this happened and why the vets couldn't figure it out and just gave medicine on top of medicine. The time line was I first took him to the vet only for the runny nose and occasional sneezing. She said it was fine, just a small virus kittens fight on their own but gave me the enzymes to help him. Plus she dewormed. Then when he got home he threw up and problem came from them. I don't know. I'm Judy really glad he is okay now.

its scary and frustrating both when you don't get any real answers....it could be a sensitivity to the dewormer...these things can be pretty harsh especially on kittens.
so how many days has this been than? I'm confused...slow down and explain the time line.
he went to the Vet for a runny nose and they gave him a dewormer and some enzymes right? when  was this?
than he got the diarrhea and vomiting AFTER this first visit to the Vet after the dewormer?

did you stop the enzymes?
And you stopped the antibiotic too?...

he is eating a little of the AD...and so far no more diarrhea or vomiting right?

P.S. He is really skinny right now because of all the throwing up and diarrhea. He didn't stop drinking water or anything. How fast could liver failure hit? I am so worried. I told the vet everything and STILL gave no answer.

The vet did do blood work and it was fine. He was on wellness core dry but then I switched to iams canned and dry for 1 and 1/2 day but went back on wellness kitten. He started having diarrhea after he got dewormed when I took him to the vet because of his runny nose. She said it was a virus, gave me some enzymes and dewormed him. A few hours he got home, threw up more and diarrhea since then. I took him to the vet the next day and she gave me antibiotics, something to help his diarrhea and said if he thew up again take him to the emergency room so I did. The emergency room charged me over 600$ to look at him, blood test and spend the next with fluids. 600$ I didn't mind if he got better but he didn't. They assumed he did just because he was playing again even though I told them he always plays in the morning. They didn't even care or listen to the fact that his vet gave him fluids under his skin that day. He's on a/d now and hasn't throw up today. I also didn't give any of his medicine either and feed him little by little and now hes sleeping and playing without throwing up. I pray hes getting better. I don't know what else to do for him. Could it be stress? The vets are pretty much being useless right now.

did the Vet clinic at least do blood work before telling you he is OK???

and what food did you switch kitty too? did the vomiting and diarrhea start the same day or next day??

I am wondering if the food was contaminated....

a rapid switch in food can cause some diarrhea but never heard of vomiting too....
put him back on his original food for a few days and see if this helps.

he must be eating, thats very important or he will go into liver failure real quick.
