Hey, good to see you back!
I noticed the post the first day it was created, but couldnt mark it at that moment so I'm only knowing about you today.Thank godness is all right !
Loreena is still a box of surprises - but I guess she's fine.Babies or not babies - thats the question ! ( Well not for a long time now, if so will be this month...)
Thanks again for all the warm wishes....I have been juggling video production, audio production, managing the PetDocsOnCall website, trying to monitor the two "boys" (my son Keegan, age 2 and his puppy Loki, age 7 months) at home, doing my normal job at the Veterinary News Network, trying to get certified to respond to animal disasters and emergencies, and, to top it off, have been inundated at my older son's high school with concession duties for the band boosters! WHEW!! I need to set some priorities!!
Opus, yes, it does cost to post a question to our veterinarians, but it is about half of what you might expect from a regular office call at a veterinary office. We realize that many people are on limited incomes and we are hoping that this resource can offer some people another option beyond paying for a second opinion at another veterinarian. The resource is patterned after the other Ask an Expert forums here at MedHelp. In tough economic times (like the current ones) we think that this is a viable option for many people.
I think the biggest benefit from the Ask a Vet Expert forums is that you know you are getting professional advice. I have been involved with pets and veterinary medicine for almost 2 decades now, but I still want people to know that veterinarians are the true pet experts. Although I can offer some thoughts to help people out, its the veterinarians who can offer good solid and practical advice that people can act upon. Sadly, I see too many examples of bad advice or even dangerous advice coming from lay people at other sites and we want to help by offering people options for gathering pet healthcare information.
I hope that helps a little....
same from me welcome back...we value you're input...
.
doesn't it cost$$$$ to do a question on the 'ask a vet forums?"
many of us here are on pretty limited budgets.
Welcome back! You have been missed!
Sorry for my absence!! I have been busy at the Veterinary News Network producing videos for our reporters and time just keeps getting away from me!
I am back and will be MUCH better about being responsive on here! Don't forget, we have more than 35 veterinarians, a pet behaviorist and a pet nutritionist available at the Ask a Vet sections as well!
Thanks for missing me!! I feel so loved!!
:-)
I just remembered this thread? Is Thomas Dock still missing from the forum? We do miss you; let us know if you're okay?
Good question!!! We're starting to feel abandoned over here!!! =(
Tom-We miss ya over here and you have helped us answer some of the posts that we had trouble with. PLEASE come back!!! =)
