OMG yes the very same...maybe its hormones still?
or maybe they are just really missing cat mommy?
I don't push Nemo away either unless he gets too aggressive and starts leaving scratch marks on my shoulder....
usually he just gently rubs his paws over my upper arm and purrs and I like the bonding ....weird(?)
Oh my, how funny! That's exactly what my cat did with the clothing close to my shoulder. When I laid down to fall asleep, he would start the sucking my sleeve and kneading with his paws and purring like crazy. When he first started doing it as a young cat, I did push him away, and he had this hurt look on his face, I'm not kidding! I just decided to let him do it. He never outgrew it clear thru age 16. What I did was get him his own blanket and lay it on my shoulder so he wouldn't take a bite of skin with my clothing.
Ohhhh yeah my male cat does that toooooooo
he is 6 years old and was neutered at abt 6-7months...not real sure his age when i got him.
he just started this abt 2 yrs ago, he humps or cuddles up on my shoulder in bed and wraps his arms around my arm and hugs while kinda vibrating...and he makes those mating sounds...I just giggle now and push him away when he gets too intense.
our hormones must be an attractive scent to them!!
although at 59 I have few left. lol
Hi,
My cat would suck on a piece of my clothing. I know he had ben weaned too early from his Mommy cat, so that can be another reason. They can be strange :)
Sometimes cats will do the humpty hump..LOL, if they've been neutered after 1 yr of age.
I don't know why they do it, but my mother's cat did this when he would play with me or my sister-in-law. Just because they are fixed doesn't mean they don't have some of that desire I suppose.
