cat's pain solution

my cat was bitten by my dog .  i took him to emergency x-ray where taken i was told cat would be fine.  i know he's sore from the punture what over the counter med can i give him for pain i spent 300.00 at emergency and i'm low on money?

Hey and welcome.  Sorry, still no.  Ascriptin is an ASPIRIN product, not to mention the damage caused to a pet with kidney issues from the Magnesium, Aluminum and Calcium in the Maalox.  

Any human OTC product should only and always be under the direction of your vet.

sorry I DISAGREE DO NOT GIVE ANY TYPE OF ASPIRIN TO A CAT, THIS IS VERY TOXIC!!!!!

  The only OTC you can give your pet for pain is Ascriptin. It is asparin with maolox coating for their tummy. Just give very little as they are small and don`t need near as much as humans.

Hello & Welcome...Cats have a much higher pain tolerance than we do, so along with the antibiotic shot given, your kitty should be fine just like you were told, with no need for pain meds.  And for future reference, there is NO safe OTC pain product for cats.
