My cat george passed away firday. had kidney failure. he was 18yrs old. he lasted as long as he could, come friday he just lay there i cuddling him. i new he had enough. so i took him to the vet, where he was put to sleep. he went in my arms...i cryed and cryed.  i know he had a long and pampered life but it still hurts........

Hi Katie,

I'm so, so sorry for your loss.  I'm feeling your pain, as well.  My Felix passed away on June 9th.  He was just shy of 17 yrs. old.  I'm having much difficuly speaking of him in the past tense, but talking about him kind of keeps him with me.  

What I would very much like is to hear all about George, if you think you can.  I'll bet he was the best.  After reading your post, I wondered how you met, and what kind of funny, special things he did.   They are all so different, and there will never be another quite like him.   I know you feel blessed to have been given such a wonderful friend as George.  People are telling me how lucky Felix was to have had such a good mom, but I know the real truth.  It was I that was the lucky one.   I'm guessing you know that feeling, too.  If you'd like to share your George, I would love to hear all about him.

I'm sorry to here of your loss. I've had to have put down my own pets as well as others at one time or another and nothing makes it easy.

I hope in time you can find some peace of soul.
