Thanks for the information ladies! I have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor tomorrow. Still looking for a neurosurgeon for the Chiari but recently found out that TCI doesn't take my insurance so I'm leaning towards John Hopkins as I heard there is a specialist there. I'll keep updating!
I get terrible back pains. Most of mine come. When I'm first wake up in the morning. I can't move or walk. I have to stay completely still for at least 30 minutes, then boyfriend must help me get up and lay flat on the floor for the pain to completely stop. Rather its from Chiari or tethered cord I dont know as I'm all new and in the middle of getting test done to help check things of the list. But I know how you feel.
Hi....I had something similar and not sure what I did as I woke up like that...I could not walk, sit...stand, it was horrible...I really feel it was tethered cord related as I do have that ....at first I thought it was my EDS acting up....but I am more inclined now to think it was the TCS...were u DX'd with that?
Chiari affects all of us differently and bending over counting money can put a strain on those of us with these conditions....it may have been what u did in the course of the day and the position u were in to count just pushed u over that limit ur body could take.
