not sleeping through the night anymore....

Hi,

I have a 3 1/2 month old baby boy who was sleeping great through the night , anywhere between 7 to 10 hours for a solid 3 to 4 weeks. All of a sudden he is been waking up at night every 2 to 3 hours.  He fusses when being fed, mostly at night but also sometimes during the day. He doesn't seem to be sleeping well and deeply, and moves a lot waking himself up. He is mostly bottle fed now that I am back to work, but I still nurse him at 6pm and 4am when he wakes up...Lately I have been nursing him in bed whenever he wakes up to try to get him back to sleep, but he fusses when I nurse him as well. His pediatrician checked for teeth but said they are not breaking through yet, and that he is a bit young for teething. He seems to be very interested in sucking his hands and fingers, but is not drooling excessively. Any suggestions on  how to get him to sleep better is much appreciated...

I guess the ped. checked for ear infections? Lots of times after a cold/ nasal congestion, about a week later the infection moves in to the ears from the sinuses......It makes a baby fussy when eating, sleeping....?
Maybe he is hungry- try adding a little cereal to night bottle?

Do you mean that someone else looks after him whilst you are at work, perhaps they have a differtant routine if so , babies like the same routine ?
