Lipid profile before and after treatment

My total cholesterol was 236, ldl is 174 , HDL is 46 and triglycerides is 179 before Rosvin f.After one month course of Rosvin F and life style change my total cholesterol is 119 mg/dl (Reference <200), LDL is 62 mg/dl (Reference , <100) HDL is 43 mg/dl  Reference 40-60) and triglyceride is 71 mg/dl Reference <150). New reading lies to low normal reference range. Dr. recommended to continue Rosvin F for one month. I little bit worried about dose. Let me know should I continue Rosvin F.

Statins decrease the body's levels of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10).

“A study in 50 people taking statin medications found that a dose of 100 mg of CoQ10 per day for 30 days effectively reduced statin-related muscle pain in 75% of patients (11).”

“A three-month study in 45 women demonstrated that those treated with 400 mg of CoQ10 per day experienced significant reductions in the frequency, severity and duration of migraines, compared to a placebo group (20Trusted Source).

For treating migraines, the typical dosage recommendation for CoQ10 is 300–400 mg per day (21Trusted Source).”

“The Bottom Line

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) has been linked to improved aging, exercise performance, heart health, diabetes, fertility and migraines. It may also counteract adverse effects of statin medications.

Typically, 90–200 mg of CoQ10 per day are recommended, though some conditions may require higher dosages of 300–600 mg.

CoQ10 is a relatively well-tolerated and safe supplement that may benefit a wide variety of people looking for a natural way to boost health.”*

You don’t mention dose and you make no mention of any side effects. Both drugs in Rosvin F (statin and fibrate) are generally well tolerated. Neither are drugs one takes “for a month.” Rather, they are lifetime drugs that will keep you in tip-top CV health with more benefit correlating with duration of treatment. If you discontinue treatment, all your lipid levels will return to where they were (unless you have made HUGE lifestyle changes). Continue treatment with Rosvin F at lowest effective dose on advice of physician. From your post, it looks like you’ve hit a home run. Congrats!

The dose is Rosvin F (fenofibrate 145 mg and Rosuvastatin 10 mg) daily one time.  Muscle pain and headache is symptoms. How to reduce symptoms
Unfortunately, Rosvin F cannot be broken in half. Talk to doc about taking the drugs as separate pills and starting at lower dose. Or ask about taking Rosvin F every other day (or even less frequently). If you take fibrate and statin separately, your doc will likely start you on the statin alone before adding in the fibrate. Titrating from low dose mitigates side effects for many people. Taking statins even a couple of days a week can be effective. Considering your pre-med lipids, a statin by itself should lower both your (high) LDL and (borderline) TGs. Start low: I was able to control LDL and TGs with 10mg atorvastatin (Lipitor) every other day. Since I experienced no side effects, I now take 10mg/day, which is a low dose. Note that everybody is different. Talk to your doc!
