Flu

I have been diagnosed with the flu type b on Monday. My fevere goes up and down but really doesn't stay down permanently. I am taking tamiflu, theraflu, Motrin as prescribed by the doctors. My throat feels ripped open and today I noticed that there is some blood in the phlegm that I cough up. Is this a sign of pneumonia? I am planning to go back to the doctors tomorrow for this

Does it hurt when you breath or it is hard to breath? Those are signs of pneumonia as well and fever but fever is part of the flu too.Good to get it checked just in case.

the blood in the phlegm is not a sign of pneumonia on its own. it's not so difficult to get a bit of blood in cough when you cough hard.

what is flu type b and how did they diagnose it?

there's no need to go back to the doctors so early just stick to their prescription and wait 2-3 weeks if Tamiflu doesn't work just throw it away and go back to the Docs and tell them. anxiety is collateral to all unexplained illness.

if you have a bacterial infection in the throat or bronchi chew some sliced garlic. also throat antiseptic can help.
