I have a chest infection and cough. I can put up with the chest infection but can put up with the cough when I lie down at night and remedies for this please.

My friends and I at school often pick up bad colds, lungs etc. as teaching is like living in a petrey dish.  We joke about sleeping UP all night and if you don't have a lazy boy, go find one, or lots of pillows.  Good night

The doctor will give you a cough med with codeine in it , I had this with flu recently and was given Azithromycin as the anti biotic and codeine cough meds..it worked really well .good luck

Try rubbing Vicks vapor rub on ur chest and apply a warm cloth or heating pad worked with me and having the flu
