Lt. Col. refusing deployment.....

So still watching Anderson Cooper.  He interviewed a Lt. Col. (a Dr. actually) in the US military who is refusing deployment (to Afganistan I believe) based on the fact that he doesn't believe Pres. Obama was born in American, therefor is not eligible to be Pres. so he doesn't actually have to take orders from him.  The Lt. Col. didn't actually do much talking, his lawyer did (he is being courtmartialed) and it all seemed fairly ridiculous.  Anderson Cooper had a copy of the Certificate of Live Birth for Pres. Obama issued by the state of Hawaii.  Defense funds are being raised by a group called the American Patriots.  Are we seriously still debating this issue?  The man is the President of the US.  Surely someone higher up the food chain then this Lt. Col would have ensured the man was born in the US.  I mean, come on, seriously?

You made me giggle..lol, a good pork chop!! I agree with you, you just can't have soldiers, etc. all of a sudden deciding they won't go.  You would have such a mess on your hands.  I honestly don't think he has to much chance of avoiding court martial on this.  Even if there was truth behind his belief (or claimed belief) on Obama's birth place, it is not his fight.

I do know that tax payer money is being spent in a lot of places that some I agree with and some I don't.

Tax payer money is being spent on many things by this government perhaps you are unaware of the fact,incidently the defense funds are being paid for by The American Patriot group ...

I personally love a good pork chop but do not care for this Col.   I do think that in the military there is a hierarchy and an order of command that is paramount to its success and when you have a col that is openly defiant such as this that they just can't tolerate that.  If tax payer money has to be used in any way to defend this case . . . I will be MAD!  I just think this country has real problems and this might be wasting some time and energy spent elsewhere.
