Rachel Dolezal...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/06/12/spokane-naacp-president-rachel-dolezal-may-be-white/

According to this article, this woman basically stole her young adopted black brother to "authenticate' her blackness by saying he is her child.

Another fraud exposed....  She also used some black people to pose as her parents.  Where are they?  Get them to talk.

City probe finds Washington state ex-NAACP official violated ethics rules

SEATTLE (Reuters) - Former Washington state NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal, who drew national attention after being accused of lying about her racial background, has violated ethics rules while heading a police oversight commission, a senior city official said on Wednesday.

Investigators hired by the city of Spokane to probe a whistleblower complaint found Dolezal had publicly named citizens who made complaints against police officers, in violation of confidentiality rules, City Council President Ben Stuckart said.

"There were multiple occasions at open public meetings, that were recorded, where names of complainants were discussed in the open and they should have been confidential," Stuckart said, calling on her to resign from the commission.

Dolezal, 37, resigned this week as president of the Spokane chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, a leading civil rights organization, amid reports she was falsely claiming to be African-American.

Dolezal has told U.S. media she identifies as black, and the controversy has triggered a national debate over the bounds of racial identity and self-identification.

She was raised in a home with adopted black siblings and enrolled at historically black Howard University, according to a white Montana couple who told U.S. media they are her biological parents.

Dolezal did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The ethics allegations against Dolezal, and two other commission members, stem from the findings of two independent lawyers hired by the eastern Washington city to investigate an April 16 whistleblower complaint by a Spokane employee. The report was published on Wednesday.

In addition to the confidentiality issues, the probe found Dolezal engaged in workplace harassment as head of the Office of Police Ombudsman Commission, Stuckart said, without elaborating.

The Spokane City Council will meet on Thursday to discuss whether to remove Dolezal from the post, and whether to file an ethics complaint against her with another commission, he said.

A city human rights commission also called for Dolezal to resign on Tuesday, and Eastern Washington University, where she taught Africana studies, said she was no longer employed there.

Apart from the confidentiality breach, the lawyers found the whistleblower faced intimidating, hostile and offensive behavior from Dolezal and other commissioners.

Separately, the city is investigating whether Dolezal violated city rules when she identified herself as Caucasian, Native American, and black in her application for the job.

She can say she's Spiderman and I'd be okay with it, other than the fact that she would be lying again.

She has a problem with "black face', eh?  That must be the reason behind her "tanning" or doing whatever it is that apparently changed the pigmentation of her complexion.  That must be the reason she does what she can to fashion an afro....  yeah, she has a problem with black face.

The woman is an a-hole.

Rachel Dolezal breaks her silence on TODAY: 'I identify as black'

Rachel Dolezal, the former NAACP chapter president accused of pretending to be black, tells TODAY's Matt Lauer in an exclusive live interview that she identifies as black — something she started doing at the age of five.

"I was drawing self-portraits with the brown crayon instead of the peach crayon, and black curly hair," she told Lauer. But she insisted she never deceived anyone as numerous critics have suggested.

"I do take exception to that because it's a little more complex than me identifying as black or answering a question of, are you black or white?" she said.

But given the fallout she has experienced since the controversy erupted last week, Dolezal said she would make the same choices if she had the chance.

"As much as this discussion has somewhat been at my expense recently, and in a very sort of viciously inhumane way come out of the woodwork, the discussion is really about what it is to be human," she said. "I hope that that can drive at the core of definitions of race, ethnicity, culture, self determination, personal agency and, ultimately, empowerment."

Dolezal defended her identification as an African American against comparisons to putting on blackface, as some in her family have suggested, as well as many on social media.

"I have a huge issue with blackface. This is not some freak birth of a nation mockery blackface performance," she said. "This is on a very real, connected level. How I've had to go there with the experience, not just a visible representation, but with the experience."

When asked about the changes in her physical appearance and whether she darkened her appearance, Dolezal responded: "I certainly don't stay out of the sun."

Dolezal's interview came less than a day after she resigned Monday from her position as president of the NAACP's Spokane, Washington, chapter amid the controversy surrounding her and claims she made about her race and upbringing.

The firestorm began last week after her white parents confirmed that Dolezal, 37, was their estranged daughter, whom they had not seen in years.

Her parents told TODAY that their daughter pretended to be black, claimed to be born in a teepee and made other false claims possibly as a way to "damage her biological family."

The couple also insisted they never planned to publicly shame their daughter but when a newspaper contacted them last week to confirm Rachel was their daughter, "we weren't going to lie, we told the truth," Lawrence Dolezal said. "Rachel is our birth daughter."

He and Ruthanne Dolezal, who are both white, are listed as the parents of Rachel Dolezal on her Montana birth certificate.

Rachel Dolezal said others first identified her as "transracial" in articles about her human rights work. She was then described as biracial and, later, as being "a black woman," but she never corrected any of the descriptions.

Rachel Dolezal's race was questioned nationally after the veracity of a claim she made about being a recent hate crime victim was challenged. She also identified herself as multiracial on an application to join a police oversight commission in Spokane.

She said she truly began identifying as lack was when she received custody of one of her brothers, Izaiah, who she now considers a son.

"He said, 'You're my real mom.' And he's in high school, and for that to be something that is plausible, I certainly can't be seen as white and be Isiah's mom." she said.

Rachel Dolezal and her sons before her live interview with Matt Lauer.
Dolezal also defended her decision to claim that Albert Wilkerson, a black man, is her father but said it was not to enhance her credentials as a civil rights advocate.

"We connected on an intimately level as family," she said. "Albert Wilkerson is my dad. Any man can be a father. Not every man can be a dad."

"On another board, someone is defending this woman by saying, "but she's married to a black man"."

So being married to a different race makes you that race? So her husband is white then and she is black? HA

Now I see what you're getting at.  You know, for me, this is more of the "us v.s. them'' mentality that most of the nation seems to be abiding by.  In other words, "if you're not with us, you're against us" and it just doesn't have to be that way.  The labeling thing has never been more popular than it is now.  It's all out of control, if you ask me.

As far as Bruce Jenner, the Kardashians, Dolezal.... I don't give a rats hind end about any of them.  (I don't want them dead or anything, but they simply don't matter to me.)

I've got a big problem with dishonesty.  I'd been lied too for most of my life and I always tried to fly the straight and narrow.  I lied one big giant time and it almost cost me everything....  I'll never do it again.  The one time I did, it bit me in the butt.

It's just my opinion but I believe Dolezal lied for personal gain.  its why most people lie, gain or protection.  It's fraudulent and it seems as if this fraud was a long time coming for this lady.  On another board, someone is defending this woman by saying, "but she's married to a black man".  to that I say, who cares?  That isn't a lie... saying she is black is.

If we do not accept Bruce as a woman we are labeled homophobic or transphobic...whatever term liberals and the gay mafia want to assign. So that is why I say we have to accept it.
And as "accept" I mean we have to be happy for them, not question it...etc.

Thanks for the information hrsepwrguy.  It doesn't have to do with race.  It has everything to do about integrity and if she'll lie about her race what else is she going to lie about?

Vance, I don't know if anyone is forcing anyone to accept anyone.  What Bruce Jenner is doing doesn't mean a thing to me.  It'll never impact my life and I don't have to like nor accept it.  I don't think he broke any laws.  Dolezal is supposedly a "leader" who appears morally bankrupt.  It appears that she filed fake racist police reports amongst other questionable acts.  She neither will have an impact on my life.  I don't have to accept her either. She's a known liar.

is Bruce Jenner a liar?  I don't know.  He went and bought some boobs.

You people sicken me. We must accept that this woman is black but trapped in a white woman's body. How dare you say anything different? How dare you not accept her for who she really is.

Now that statement seems quite absurd, how is it any different then being forced to accept a tranny?

Dolezal sent out an email Sunday canceling the monthly membership meeting "due to the need to continue discussion with regional and national NAACP leaders."

Shortly after her announcement, the head of the chapter's executive committee, Lawrence Burnley, questioned whether Dolezal had the right to arbitrarily cancel the meeting, KREM-TV in Spokane (http://is.gd/sdOyLy ) reported, quoting an email thread mailed to NAACP members.

"I don't see any language in the by-laws that empowers you, or any one member, to arbitrarily cancel/postpone tomorrow's meeting," Burnley wrote in his email Sunday.

Some are planning a demonstration Monday night calling for Dolezal to step down.

Kitara Johnson, a member of the chapter, organized an online petition calling for Dolezal to take a leave of absence.

"It's not about race, it's about integrity," she said. "If you're a leader, you have to have integrity. She clearly lacks integrity. The other piece is credibility."

For the life of me, I can't get why this doesn't have the legs as a lot of other things do.  Maybe my PC head is too big for its own good, but this seems as fraudulent as anything, any lie told in the last who knows how many years.

In recent history, people have been fired for lies.  This person lied about her race in it appears as if that lie has helped her attain jobs/positions.  No way do I think the NAACP fires her at this point.  They'd be racists.

Whites do appear to hold more positions than minorities within the NAACP, though.

I've championed against a "like" button here on MH for obvious reasons, because we're not social media, but your post is one I'd have "liked" if I could...

No doubt, Bruce and the Kardashians are totally bent out of shape... I think reality TV has made it possible for anything to be "normal"...

Doesn't it have to stop somewhere? When are we going to draw the line and say "enough is enough"?

Maybe next year someone can marry their dog... today that might sound absurd/sick; in a couple of years it might a case taken up by the Supreme Court... I'm glad I'm old and won't have to deal with a lot of what's coming down the pike...
