Rush thinks the spill was an inside job - intended to derail offshore drilling.
"I want to get back to the timing of the blowing up, the explosion out there in the Gulf of Mexico of this oil rig. ... Now, lest we forget, ladies and gentlemen, the carbon tax bill, cap and trade, that was scheduled to be announced on Earth Day. I remember that. And then it was postponed for a couple of days later after Earth Day, and then of course immigration has now moved in front of it. But this bill, the cap-and-trade bill, was strongly criticized by hardcore environmentalist wackos because it supposedly allowed more offshore drilling and nuclear plants, nuclear plant investment. So, since they're sending SWAT teams down there, folks, since they're sending SWAT teams to inspect the other rigs, what better way to head off more oil drilling, nuclear plants, than by blowing up a rig? I'm just noting the timing here.

It couldn't be that this catastrophe, like the Massey Mine tragedy, is the result of unbridled greed. could it?

Why did the Government wait 8 days .... Katrina all over again .. we dont know the cause ..yet.. dont hold your breath we ever will ....
It has hit the Louisiana coastline, and they say it will come along both sides of the florida coastline going up the east coast. They are predicting this will be much worse than the Valdez disaster and they said they probably wont be able to stop this for months! It will kill all those animals, fishing will be a disaster and tourism if it hits the beaches! This is just plain awful!
We should never have ventured into this without having safegaurds. How could this happen! I think they should stop in their tracks and not allow anymore offshore drilling until they are a little more knowledgeable of what they are doing. I cannot put into words how upset I am. There IS no stopping this thing!

I'm with R Glass - I'm not a die hard Republican, nor am I a huge fan of Rush. Sometimes there are points to be made, other times, it's like I said in my earlier post -- people get on a roll and like to hear their own ideas........
That spill could be devastating to huge area and if it's ever proven that someone did it on purpose, I certainly hope they are hung by the "tender parts".............but until it's proven beyond a doubt, I'm going to consider it as very unfortunate accident........

This is a pretty big disaster that will have far reaching consequences to the enviroment. I don't think anyone did this on purpose. My opinion.
I say it was very convenient timing as was the immigration happening in AZ and I dont mind if you call me a conspiricey nut, or paranoid. its all very convenient ...smoke and mirrors happening...yet again eyes wide open folks it'll soon be too late and the 'world will own us ' ask the Apollo alliance, Joel the Wizard...ask Valerie Jarrett, ask Obama no dont bother he wont tell the truth like all Progresssives he doesnt know how to ... ...

Has anyone else noticed the cover up on this? I mean when it first happened it was 1000 gal a day, then 5 thou a day then 50 thou a day and today? 200 thou a day! This story has changed daily! So obvious something is not being told. At first they had no problem conaining it, then this went on for a few days, but it would not get to the coastline they said. Then I heard they wanted to burn it off, then I heard it was supposed to reach the coastline last night . Which is it for crying out loud.
Well now ya gotta consider the source. Rush is king of conspiracy theories and I wouldnt expect anything less on this subject. This is bad! All the marine life that is going to die and not to mention what it will do to the coastline. I heard someone say it would be as bad as Katrina, without the natural part attached. I personally think it could be worse.
The earth,animals and enviroment are where my conservatism ends...I am a tree hugger..

I guess anything is possible, but I'd sure hate to think that such a thing would be "manufactured". I'd have to see/hear lots of proof before I could believe that someone would do that intentionally.
People sometimes get on a roll and like to hear their own ideas; I can't imagine that there are a lot of people who would believe this without concrete evidence to support it. I know I sure wouldn't, even though I know there are a lot of people who are against the off shore drilling.
