I just heard!
Jacksonville Florida, a bankrobber forces a woman in an suv into the passenger seat and takes off from the police. 41 shots were fired at that vehicle and it had 3 children in it! Woman was shot in the foot and the two year old in critical condition! What in the world?
THE STOP STICKS COULD HAVE BEEN USED BUT ITS VERY HARD FOR POLICE TO USE THEM IF THEY ARE ONE A BUSY STREET..... oops stupid caps!....
the cops dont know they way the robber was going to travel so would be hard to put out stop sticks out and not get innocent people runnin gover them....also could have made the car flip over due to the tires being blown out and might have been even worse...
pumping all those bullets wasnt a very good idea at all...they could shot out the tires if need be......

I'm not sure what the technical term is for it---------- could be stop sticks. But it has the ability to stop a speeding car in a safe way. They have to have someone ahead of the car to drop it but I've seen it work on the news. (no, it has never been used on me . . .)

Why didn't they use those things they throw down to bust the tires?
The toddler had to have part of his lung removed and they are not sure he will survive. Evidently the police were not aware they were in the car. I still question throwing 41 bullets into a car that they did not know who all was in it. If this be the wave of the future we are all at risk. IMO
I was wondering at first if the police realized that there were 3 children in the vehicle when they pumped all those bullets into it?
I wonder if someone will have to answer for that? Granted the guy was a bank robber and they need to stop him, but shooting at a vehicle with children? Was it worth it??

True. I cannot believe the police pumped 41 shots into that vehicle with 3 children in it! I am hoping they did not know? The robber was trying to escape after robbing Wachovia Bank.
No money is worth that, I feel for her and her family. The robber should be put away forever.
People laugh at me because I always drive with doors locked...........hmmm
