Why Boehner doesn’t just ditch the hard right

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/10/01/why-boehner-doesnt-just-ditch-the-right/

Robert Costa is the National Review's Washington editor and one of the best-sourced reporters among House Republicans. Like many others, I've relied on his reporting in recent days about how House Republicans are strategizing around the government shutdown. But it left me with some questions, particularly around Speaker John Boehner's strategy. We spoke by phone this afternoon, and a lightly edited transcript follows.

We have a really stupid populace.

You want some striking evidence?

Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIERYXdh2PI

A wrestler dons a sock decorated like a snake and attacks his opponent with it. But, a snake charmer plays a flute which hypnotizes the guys snake hand and it begins to attack himself. It's gripping - really gripping!

The spin to make you believe what they want you to believe is amazing isnt it? I thought this was an honest conversation that you just are not privy to these days and thought it worth posting as a result.

OMG! an actual honest conversation! How refreshing and informative!

By the way, some of these new comers better step up, get a voice, demand to be heard and take some control.  New ideas are essential and running around on the same old hard line garbage is old hat and will be the demise of the republican party.  Heck, some republicans in my state are getting fed up with the BS and that normally doesn't happen in this red state.

"RC: When you get the members off the talking points you come to a simple conclusion: They don't face consequences for taking these hardline positions."

These people have nothing to offer.  Nothing genuine, anyhow.  Both sides are dishing out the canned rhetoric and it is old hat.  Get any of them off the talking points and they stammer... all of them, both sides.

I would pay money to hear one genuine comment outside of the party line talking points.  It can't happen because the money stops flowing when one of these turds says something that is not what their financial endorsers wants them to say.
