please help?

hi.. i'm an 18-yr-old college student in a university where there is no such thing as a "vacation"... imagine the stress.  i haven't slept a decent four hours for the last two weeks now.. i suspect its insomnia since i can't sleep though my eyes are closed.. usually nowadays i fall asleep around 1am-3am and wake up at 5am... i wonder, what do i need to do? i do  drink milk and do all the sleeping remedies. still, nothing works for me.. i can't rest even if i am tired..

plus, this morning i forgot to take breakfast since i was running late.. then i had irregular bowel movements (stomach rumbling + epigastric pain) all throughout the day.. considering i ate lunch and dinner, i don't know if this is cuz of the skipped meal, depression, stress or lack of sleep.. please help?

i'm sorry.. i know its kinda stupid but i have nobody to run to.. uhm.. so, could someone tell me what i'm experiencing? and if possible, what can i do to help myself?

Sounds like anxiety with a bout of irritable bowel syndrome to me.  The anxiety can cause the latter to happen.  I have dealt with the ups and downs of this my whole life.  Try to stay away from all stimuli in the evening.  No caffeine, tv, or deep conversations at night.  Write in a journal or read something relaxing.  Make a decision that you are going to control your anxiety by eliminating negativety or stress after a certain hour every day.  Don't take phone calls from friends or family, watch the news or read the paper.  Find some "you" time that is shallow time.  Meditation is key to controlling your anxiety.  If you control this, the irritable bowel will settle.  If you don't get control, you will have to be treated for both by a doctor.  Make yourself focus on you for a while & you will thank yourself later.
