Airbag scalp injuries

My scalp has been itching ever since August of 2009, after an accident I had in which my head hit the air bags at a great velosity.  I have seen two Medical Doctors and two Dermotologist, and been given all sorts of antibotics, foams, shampoos and nothing has helped yet.  There are very tiny red bumps in my scalp that itch continuously.  What is the cure?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
From your symptoms one possibility that needs to be ruled out is scalp folliculitis. It is characterised by small, very itchy pustules within the scalp. Use mild normal shampoo as often as desired. Antidandruff shampoos containing antifungal agents such as ketoconazole or ciclopirox are sometimes helpful. Also take some oral antihistaminics like Benadryl. Specific treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics for which I suggest you to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
