Are rashes contagious?

Hi, i kissed my girl friend many times and she seems to develop sebhoric dermatitis look alike rash under her nose and sometimes under her lower lip. She told me that she used to have this around her nose in winters but never experienced these kind of rashes on the lips skin. What possibly that could be ? I have sebboric dermtitis too and dandruff too. She also had a nodular acne like bump on her arm which lasted for quite a while and she said she never had that before too. I suffer from acne too. What possible disease i could have transferred to her, which is manifestion into these symptoms. Any clues ? Thanks a lot.

Could it be related to HPV? I have genital warts. I am worried sick almost to the point of contemplating suicide. I am from very conservative sikh family and i cannot even share my pathetic situation with anybody. I made a mistake in my life and it has ruined my life ever since. I cannot sleep without even contemplating that i have given HIV/HPV to my wife. I never had unprotected sex with her, just kissing and one time protected sex. She developed rash first at the middle of moustache area and then stubble rash just above her chin (which seems to have gone away after 10-15 days). Searching on the internet points to skin irritation caused by beard but it looks more like dermatitis than skin irritation. I got sebboric dermatitis (either from worry/dandruff or from HIV who knows?) I got tested for HIV/VDRL last year twice (4 and 8 months post exposure). Both were non-reactive. Still couldn't believe that i dont have it. I have also developed rash like skin at my cheeks and forehead, it appears normal when i wake up in the morning, but in the afternoon, it seems like a skin rash (very tiny bumps on cheeks), dermatologist couldn't find anything, but i can look at it in the mirror and feel it. All things point to HIV and i think i have given something to my wife.  Could you please provide your location in Gurgaon, do you have clinic? Please madam, help me.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Seborrheic dermatitis is non contagious and hence you cannot transmit it your girlfriend. The rash on the upper lip could have been due to her own seborrheic dermatitis or if it is itchy then we can think about any fungal infection which is contagious.

Regarding the bump, it looks like follciulitis after waxing or a small boil caused by a bacterial infection and this can be transmitted. Ask her to keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
