Blister and terrible Itch on the skin of my Scortum

Please help me out, I am very much worried. I have these blisters growing on the skin of my testes which never open up neither fade away but have no pain. But I experience terrible Itching on the skin of my testes, specially at the night time because of which I cannot have a good nights sleep. I have this for a year now and haven't been to a doctor till now. The blisters never open up and does not emit anything either. Sometimes they become small and sometimes they grow a bit bigger. There is also too much itching on the skin in the adjoining areas and sometimes I just scrape up the blisters while itching. On doing so, clear blood is discharged out of the wound and pink skin is exposed in the place.

I have been applying Miconazole Ointment, on the affected area, with little effect.

I have only had sex with ONE girl few times, That was More than a year ago. Before that I only had oral contact with the upper part of the body of another lady(can this transmit anything like HIV or something) I Never had sex after that. I am too much worried and fear to visit a doctor. Please help me. What should I do?

Thank you very much for your response. Your response has reduced my fear a lot.

As far as my hygiene goes, I am very much (a bit over) Hygiene conscious. I wash the affected are with soap and clean water twice everyday. I keep my hands clean an wash my hands with soap 'N' number of times.

I would like to add to my post here that when I was a child, I had undergone a HERNIA Operation. That was around 14 years back. Does this can have any relation with my present condition?

Also you have advised to use Mupirocin (Bactroban®). I am unsure about where to apply the Ointment. In the affected area or the Nostrils (I think you mean the affected area) Please clarify this. Also you have said to repeat that every 6 months, please tell me how long should I continue this. You have told here to apply mupirocin (Bactroban®) twice daily for a week. I want to know that if application of mupirocin (Bactroban®) shows improvement but is not cured fully in one week, can I continue its application for longer period? If yes then for how long.

Please give these details. I am looking forward to your reply.

Regards

Abhi.

Hi,

This could be acne, pimples or folliculitis. In most individuals there are outbreaks of folliculitis from time to time.

Folliculitis is infection and inflammation of the hair follicles. The condition may be superficial (i.e., on the surface of the skin) or deep within the follicles. The most common cause of folliculitis is infection by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus.

Folliculitis symptoms can appear independent of infection. Exposure of the skin to certain chemicals, especially oils and tars, can trigger an outbreak. People with depressed immune systems, diabetes, or obesity have a greater risk of contracting folliculitis than the general population.

Patients with chronic unresponsive folliculitis may require investigation into the source of the infection. S. aureus bacteria can live in the patient's nostrils, periodically triggering a folliculitis outbreak.

Individuals who are predisposed to folliculitis should be extremely careful about personal hygiene. Application of antiseptic washes may help prevent recurrences. A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

Let us know if you need any other information and consult a skin specialist if the lesion is persistent.

Regards.
