Hi,

You should reconsult with your doctor and take an ENT consultation.

Long term antibiotic medications of the erythromicin group like - roxithromicin or azithromicin would need to be taken to help with your symptoms.

You could then review with your ENT specialist about whether a tonsillectomy is required.

Let us know about how you are doing and what the specialist advises.

Post us if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

thank you for your reply, sorry to take such a long time to respond.
had an ultrasound on my neck, said some of my lymph nodes were rather bigger than should be, but could be due to continued infections, told me I needed to see ENT doctor, unfortunately our NHS seems to think I need my tonsils removed, however they are loath to perform such an operation because of the risks.am at a loss what to do next my throat is still sore not as bad but there just the same
my last antibiotics were penicillin 250 qdsx7 didnt work penicillin 500qds didnt work eurethromycin for 10days helped but throat came back after 2 weeks

Hi,

You should take Multivitamin tablets especially vitamin B complex supplementation and eat a healthy balanced diet.

Apply some local anesthetic gel or cream at the lesions for a few days.

If your symptoms still persist, it would be advisable to consult your doctor for a clinical examination.

What antibiotics did you take last time?

Let us know about how you are doing and post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
