Dermatitis or yeast infection?

Hi. Recently my the head of my penis has gotten very red and itchy. I don't know if this is dermatitis or a yeast infection. There are no blisters or pussing or anything like that. It is itchy off and on. It looks very similiar to when I had dermatitis on my hand before. I still have some Fluocinonide Ointment .05%. Would it be ok to use this on my penis? I am on Amoxicillin right now for my acne. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I am not currently sexually active. I use KY Warming Liquid when I am with myself. I read somewhere that can cause dermatitis? Please let me know what you think this is. Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This itchy rash can be due to contact dermatitis, dermatitis skin or fungal infection. Avoid using any lotions and creams over the area for the meantime. Wash the area with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat it dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

I have been using the KY for over a year and this is the first time I've been irritated so I would be surprised if that was it, but who knows.

First, I would very much like to thank you for responding. Looking at this site helped me realize I might be taking a drug that interacts with this. I recently started taking concerta for my ADD. I don't know if that would have anything to do with this or not. Thank you for directing me to that study but it looks like it was only done on females. I will see if there was one involving men.
