Foreskin Numbnes

Recently I have been going through some foreskin issues.  At one point I was having irritated red chapped like skin on my foreskin.  Being concerned I had an STD test from my doctor and it came out negative.  I seem to have a reddish ring where the foreskin does not completely cover the penis and underneath the head it feel irritated/numbness.  I don't know if this is from me excessively washing or there is actually some sort of condition.  I even went to the dermatologist where the RN just said that it was probably jock itch that I got from a fungus on my feet.  As of now I am using a lotion on my feet, but I don't feel this is why my foreskin is having such problems.  Can anyone give advice on what I could do.  Thanks!

Thank you for your information.  After seeing my NP where she gave me a steroid cream which didn't do all that much I then went to the dermotologist.  She said I had a bad case of athletes foot and my have dragged it up to my groin area.  I have been taking this cream for this and will be going on some type of pill to kill any fungus underneath my toe nails.  I probably should make an appointment with a urologist like you said.  I hope it's not neurological because for quite some time things seem to have been going well and have been comfortable.  Now things are uncomfortable again.  As far as other symtoms upon the tingle sensation, the skin seems paleish as well.  I am hoping this is more of a fungal thing then neurological!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Are there other symptoms present? This could be due to irritation, infection or other skin conditions such as dermatitis. If you are treating a fungal infection on your feet, this is most likely the cause. Fungal infection can spread to other parts of the body especially to warm, moist areas such as the groin. Keep the area clean and dry. Fungal infection may easily respond to over-the-counter anti-fungal medications. If it persists, have this evaluated further to rule out neurologic problems.  A referral to a urologist may also be indicated.
