How to handle a widespread body itch, unbearable, burning sensation and pain?

Since the last three days, I havent slept. It is due to severe body itch; burning sensation and pain. Very uncomfortable. I had returned from another city, where I spent overnight and I suspect that it was the liquid soap that I used. The irritation is unbearable. Cannot understand what to do. Went to a dermatologist and he prescribed fungal medicine on groin examination. Three nights now and no where on the body you see any red bumps or rashes. But the itch is very severe. Armpits; neck; chest; lower chest and back. Also started antistamine and from today oral corticosteroid. What is this and how long will it take?

This sounds like severe allergy. Have you taken any new medication that could have caused this? You mention using a liquid soap, so it seems likely that has caused this, but it seems more like a new medication could be the culprit. I had experienced severe itching when I took Cefixime, and since then steer clear of this antibiotic.

It looks like the oral corticosteroid  and antihistamine should take care of the allergic reactions and shouldn;t take more than a few days to clear up. Wish you the best!

i would not rule out bed bugs.  the babies cannot be seen.  tee tree oil added to your bath will help.  good luck.
