Pityriasis Rosea left my skin ravaged!!

I experienced the heralding ring, but wasn't very concerned until it 'exploded' and covered my torso with itchy pox. After the 6-8 week period, the affliction went away, but it ruined my skin. I am left with dry skin which itches me maddeningly, and my hands and feet, which have been soft for 60 years, is now thick and tough - and I don't have any fingerprints!! I have to soak myself with liquid vitamin E and coconut oil 3 times daily.

Is there anything I can do to reverse this, or at least stop the itching??

How long ago did you have the ring?  It sounds like you are still seeing the effects of it- the rash usually does only last 6-8 weeks, but it can last much longer.  When it does go away, your skin should be back to normal.  A dermatologist will be able to help with the itch.  Feel better!
