Hello,
If it is causing no harm, pain, discharge then it can be left as such. But if you want it removed then you have to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
There are many procedures of mole removal like by shave or deep elliptical excision, excision with cauterization (a tool is used to burn away the mole) and laser removal. Your dermatologist may choose excision with or without stitches, depending on the depth of the mole and the type of cosmetic outcome desired.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Thank you very much for your post. It has helped me alot.
I was just wondering one thing. Will the mole be removed or is there other treatment that could be done to help it?
Hello,
It can be a mole or seborrheic keratosis which is a benign skin tumor and appearance wise it looks like a mole: brown, dry and hard. I suggest you to get an evaluation and biopsy done from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
