Pemphigus foliaceus

Hi, Can you help me with the most common treatments for Pemphigus foliaceus? And how long would it take to be cured?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Pemphigus is a benign form of autoimmune disease. Spontaneous remission may occur in some patients whilst in others the problem may persist for several years. Topical treatment with corticosteroids and antibiotics is the primary treatment. Mestinon may be used to slow down progression of the disease and to treat mild cases with chronic lesions on limited areas.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you so much. Actually it's about my mom. She is taking corticosteroids, but I was just worried about it. Because I was concerned about her Vitamin D and Calcium level.
