Picked off mole

I picked off a mole on my leg when I was a kid, maybe like 11-12. Im 20 now and I looked at the spot and where the mole was is red and is worrying me. Its been red before but the next day it was gone. What is this? is it just inflamed? Im going to a Dermatologist Wednesday to get a couple moles removed but Im a hypochondriac so im freaking out now.

How are you doing?  How'd your appointment with your dermatologist go?  Were you able to get them to look at the other mole area?

Yeah I got it removed and they said it was fine.

If you are going to get a few moles removed already, just have the dermatologist take a look at this one.  It doesn't sound like it's drastically changing or anything, so it's likely you are fine- but if you are there, just mention it.
